Guillaume Hinfray was born in Normandy on 1966. After qualifying at the Ecole De La Chambre Syndicale De La Couture Parisienne, he began his career in Haute Couture, in Paris, following Rochas, Lanvin and Hermès. In 1991, he moved to Milan where, together with Marco Censi, they focused on shoes, starting up a collaboration with Bottega Veneta and then they became the Chief Designers for women’s shoes at Salvatore Ferragamo. In 2002, Guillaume Hinfray decides to launch his own named brand looking for a modern alternative among the women high ended propositions. “Season after season I am travelling through the different ages and places of my region’s history: Normandy. Guillaume Hinfray is a rough-chic style, matching fine and elegant materials with more brutish finishing and “underground” elements such as Piercing punctuating the shoes as a signature: a melting pot of aesthetics echoes back to his Norman descendants. Thanks to his background in Haute Couture, Guillaume is extremely keen on craftsmanship and pays attention to details, even to the inside (Guillaume Hinfray shoes have often a special silk satin lining). The result is a very unexpected, sophisticated, opulent, sumptuous shoe, as unique as a made to measure dress. In 2008 Guillaume set up a merger with an Italian Shoe Factory, based in Parabiago - Italy - , traditional district of high quality shoe makers, taking care of the entire manufacturing process, in order to get a product up to its creativity. Guillaume Hinfray, d’origine Normande, est né en 1966. Diplômé de l’École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, il débute sa carrière en collaborant avec de grands noms de la Haute Couture: Rochas, Lanvin, Hermès. Il se transfère à Milan en 1991 où, en partenariat avec Marco Censi, il se focalise sur la création de souliers. Ils dessineront pour Bottega Veneta et seront Stylistes en chef des collections de chaussures femme chez Salvatore Ferragamo. C’est en 2002 que Guillaume Hinfray décide de lancer sa propre ligne de chaussures, recherchant une alternative moderne parmi les propositions de haut de gamme pour femme. “Saison après saison, je m’inspire et me promène à travers les lieux et l’histoire de mon pays: la Normandie”. Le style Guillaume Hinfray se définie par une attitude chic-brut, faisant se rencontrer des matières somptueuses et élégantes avec des touchés rustiques ou des éléments « underground » comme le Piercing qui ponctue les souliers tel une signature; un melting-pot esthétique qui se fait l’écho des voyages de ses ancêtres Normands. Héritage de son expérience dans les ateliers de Haute Couture, Guillaume attache une attention particulière aux finitions et aux détails jusqu’à l’intérieur des souliers (les chaussures Guillaume Hinfray sont souvent doublées de satin de soie). Un résultat d’exception, sophistiqué, opulent, somptueux mais toujours contemporain, une chaussure unique comme une robe faite sur mesure. A la recherche constante de la plus haute qualité, en 2008, Guillaume se lie avec un Fabricant de Chaussures Italien, à Parabiago proche de Milan, cœur de la tradition artisanale des plus belles chaussures de luxe, afin d’offrir et garantir, selon les plus sévères critères de production, un produit à la hauteur de sa créativité.
